What if it rains on the day?
For anyone who played last year, you will know it will have to be one heck of a storm, or a completely sodden course to put us off. So far the weather gods have been mighty kind to us, so watch the weather and come prepared for the day.
The Rules and the Fine Print
Hole-in-one competition
-
The Sealegs craft supplied as the hole-in-one prize may differ from the advertised or pictured craft, depending on what is available at the time.
-
Only 1 attempt per player.
-
The first player only to successfully sink the hole-in-one competition is the winner. The competition is completed thereafter.
-
A maximum of 80 players in total are eligible for the hole-in-one competition.
-
All hole-in-one players are amateurs, no professionals, semi-professionals or ex professionals are allowed to take part.
-
Two officials and a recording will be used to confirm a successful hole-in-one winner.
Ambrose Format Rules
-
Your team's handicap is the total of individual handicaps divided by 10. Official golf handicaps will be used. If a member of your team does not have an official handicap then the maximum they are permitted is 24
-
Each team member must have 4 tee shots that are used.
-
Shots between tee and green must be played within one club length of the position of the ball that is being used. Placing from one surface to another is not permitted i.e. from rough to fairway, bunker to fairway etc. When close to the green this club length cannot be used to place the ball on the green or nearer the hole.
-
All putts must be taken from within 6 inches (15cm) of the selected ball. This placement must not be nearer the hole.
-
Net score to be calculated as the gross score, less team’s handicap.
